Lung Transplant for COVID associated ARDS

Jul 21, 3:30 PM

Although the number of lung transplantations performed worldwide for COVID-19 induced acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is still low, there is general agreement that this treatment can save a subgroup of most severly ill patients with irreversible lung damage, with near-term post-transplantation survival no different from that of recipients with chronic lung conditions. Early referral of ECMO patients to a lung transplantations center is pivotal in order to select the eligible patients. Join this super interesting session live on Medflix to know about the true proportion of patients eligible for lung transplantations, the overall outcome and its impact on the pandemic.
