Imaging in Phakomatosis

Jul 22, 1:30 PM

Phakomatoses or Neurocutaneous syndromes are a heterogeneous group of disorders and have variable inheritance pattern. These disorders primarily affect the central nervous system; however, skin, viscera, and other connective tissues can also be involved with variable clinical presentation. Imaging plays an important role in screening, early identification of abnormalities, and follow-up of lesions in a previously diagnosed case. It is also important for screening of family members and monitoring of affected patients. Watch Dr. Shilpa Radhakrishnan live on Medflix as she describes various aspects of imaging in phakomatosis.
