Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) is a common condition seen in otolaryngologists' offices. LPR is linked to laryngeal irritation symptoms include throat clearing, coughing, and hoarseness. Laryngoscopy and pH monitoring are the two most common diagnostic procedures now in use. Redness and swelling of the throat are the most prevalent laryngoscopic symptoms. These findings, however, are not exclusive to LPR and could be connected to other reasons or even present in healthy people.
