About Medflix

What is Medflix?

Medflix is a global community where doctors can join clubs and discover live talks, case discussions, quizzes, surgeries, and more in their areas of interest. Medflix provides a fun and social way for doctors to stay updated and learn new clinical and non-clinical skills and take their practice to the next level.

Who can join Medflix?

Medical professionals, students, and healthcare organizations, from all over the world, can join and become a part of the Medflix community.

Who is a creator?

Medflix creator is a medical professional or a medical student who is contributing to the Medflix community by providing the content.

What are clubs?

Medflix clubs allow creators to bring people of similar interests together by hosting live interactive sessions.

Getting started with Medflix

How do I join Medflix?

Download the Medflix app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)
Open Medflix
Enter your phone number and click submit
Then enter the OTP and click the 'Verify OTP' button
If you have a PlexusMD account, you'll be prompted to export your profile details from PlexusMD
For others, you can complete your profile quickly by sharing your full name, Email id, Speciality, City, a picture of yours, and choosing a handle

A complete profile will be helpful for prospective followers to see when they decide whether or not to follow you.

How do I join as a creator?

To join as a creator, please write to us at support@medlfix.app with your contact details and our team will connect with you within 24 hours to set up your club.

Is Medflix a free platform?

Yes. Signing up and a wide range of features and services on Medflix is completely free for all users.

My Medflix account

How do I update my Medflix profile information like my name, handle, speciality, etc?

Once you login onto the Medflix app, go to the profile section to update your profile information:

Go to your profile by clicking on profile picture (on the top right of your home screen)
Tap “Edit basic Info”
Type in your information and tap Update

How do I delete my account?

To delete your Medflix account, you may write to us at support@medlfix.app or click on “Support” on the top right of your Profile page.

Why can't I access my account?

Your Medflix account may not accessible for the following reasons:

Technical error;
You may have entered an incorrect mobile number or OTP;
You may have repeatedly breached the terms of Use Agreement, or Privacy policy or Community guidelines;
You may have caused harm to any user, other third parties, Medflix or our Affiliates; or
You may not be a medical professional.

Can I recover my deleted account? Or do I have to create a new account again?

Your Medflix account can be reactivated on being satisfactorily convinced that there was no breach of the Terms of Use Agreement, or Privacy policy or Community guidelines.

You may request for reactivation of the account by writing to us at support@medflix.app with details of your account (Registered mobile number and Full Name).

How to change my account from student to doctor category or doctor to the student? (s)

Go to your profile by clicking on profile picture (on the top right of your home screen)
Tap “Edit basic Info”
Change in the section “About your practice” and tap Update

How do I unfollow someone on Medflix?

You may unfollow a user on Medflix by going to their profile and clicking on the "Following" button. The user will then be removed from your following list.

My Clubs

How can I join a club?

You can view Recommended Clubs on your home screen from where you can join by clicking on the “+ Join Club/ Join Group” button.

How do I unjoin a club?

Simply, click the “Joined” button and you will be unsubscribed from that club.

Can I start my own club?

Yes. You can share a sample video of yours (typically 5-10 minutes) with us over email (support@medlfix.app). It can be an existing video of some webinar/CME or you can record a new one talking about the club you are planning to start.

Our team will review it and connect with you within the next 24 hours to set up your club.

My Discussion

How do I join a discussion?

You can join any upcoming or trending discussions from your feed by clicking on the “Reserve a seat” button. You can also “Reserve a seat” by going to the particular discussion page. (You will find the button at the bottom of your screen)

How do I unreserve a seat from a discussion?

Simply, click the “Reserved seat” button and you will be removed from that discussion.

Do I get any certificate for attending LIVE discussions?

Yes. The certificate of attendance is emailed to all attendees at the end of the discussion.

What if I am not able to attend the event after registering? Where can I find recorded sessions?

Don’t worry! Most of the Medflix discussions are recorded (with the permission of the host/speaker) and shared with all the members, who had reserved the seat, over email within 24 hours post the live discussion.

Can I suggest a discussion topic?

Yes. If you have a topic in mind and want the creator to schedule a discussion on the same, you can send out an email to us at support@medflix.app Or you can go to the particular group and click on “Request discussion”.

Where can I view the schedule for upcoming discussions?

You can view the schedule of your upcoming discussion on the top section of your home page.

Will l get a reminder before the start of any Live discussion?

Yes, we will share a reminder email with you before one day of discussion. Also, keep an eye on the notification bar of your mobile.

Any Instructions before joining a discussion?

Prerequisites: You must have the Medflix app installed on your mobile device to attend a session.
Joining a session: You may join the discussion either from the discussion page or through the invitation link shared by your friends.
We would advise you to join the session at least 5 minutes before the discussion starts.
Live session controls: Use these icons to manage your participation.

View Attendees: You can view the list of attendees in that discussion by clicking on the 'eye icon'. You can also follow the members from that list to build a connection with people of similar interests.
Raise your hand: Want to speak? Press the hand icon in the lower-left to be added to a speaker request list. The moderator will be notified of your request to speak and can either bring you to the stage or ignore you. If you’re ignored, don't be offended as a moderator can only allow so many people to the stage before losing control of the conversation.
Mute/unmute your microphone: You will have access to this feature only when the host brings you to the stage (by accepting your ‘Raise a hand’ request or randomly). To mute your microphone, click or tap on the “Mic” icon (on the bottom beside your video). The color of the strikethrough microphone icon will change to red. To unmute your microphone, click the same icon.
React with emojis: You have a range of emojis to react with during the session to make the discussion more interactive.
Give Comments/Ask a question: You can share your views or ask a question by typing in the comment section (on the bottom right of the screen).
Leave a discussion: To leave a discussion, all you have to do is tap the 'Leave' button at the top of the screen.
Zoom In/ Zoom Out: You can zoom in and zoom out the screen during the live session by pinching in or pinching out the screen.
View Speakers: You can view the speakers on the top horizontal panel by swiping the left. You also have the option to click on a particular speaker to view him/her on the main screen.

Can I ask or say something during the discussion? (s)

You can share your comments or ask a question by typing in the comment section (on the bottom right of the screen).
You may also press the hand icon in the lower-left to be added to a speaker request list. The moderator will be notified of your request to speak and can either bring you to the stage or ignore you. If you’re ignored, don't be offended as a moderator can only allow so many people to the stage before losing control of the conversation.

When I join a live session, is my audio/video by default ON?

No. Listener’s or attendee’s audio/video is by default OFF. However, you can always use the “Raise hand” feature if you have something to share or a question to ask.

Can I zoom in or zoom out the presentation?

Yes. You can zoom in and zoom out during the live session by pinching in or pinching out the screen.

Can I record the discussion?

No. You cannot record the session without the host’s permission.
Do not worry, we got you covered as most of the Medflix discussions are recorded (with the permission of the host/speaker) and shared with the attendees of that discussion over email.

Invite and Share

How do I invite my friends for a discussion?

You can invite others to join the discussion by going to the Discussion page you wish to share.

Click on “Share icon” (on the top right beside the title) or “+ Invite friends” (on the bottom bar in right).
You will see the option to share via Whatsapp, Instagram, or by copying the discussion URL.
Choose the option which is easier for you.

How do I invite my friends to join this club with me?

You can invite others to join the Club by going to the Club page you wish to share.

Click on “Share icon” (on the top right beside the title).
You will see the option to share via Whatsapp, Instagram, or by copying the club URL.
Choose the option that is easier for you.

Can I share my profile with my friends?

Yes, you can share your profile or other member’s profile with your friends.

Go to your profile by clicking on your profile picture (on the top right of your home screen).
Click on “Share icon” (on the top right beside your name)
You will see the option to share via Whatsapp, Instagram, or by copying the club URL.
Choose the option that is easier for you.
