Approach to the Case of PPH

Jul 26, 3:30 PM

PPH causes about one-fourth of all maternal pregnancy-related deaths and is a major source of morbidity and mortality for mothers globally. According to numerous studies, many PPH-related deaths could be avoided with early detection and more quick and intensive management. PPH can cause significant morbidity, which can have a number of adverse effects, such as organ failure, shock, edema, compartment syndrome, transfusion problems, thrombosis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, anemia, intensive care, and extended hospital stays. Uterine atony, which affects uterine contraction after birth in around 80% of cases, is the most frequent cause of PPH. Atony may result from uterine hypertrophy, infection, placental abnormalities, or bladder hypertrophy. Join us in live to discuss the Dx and Mx of PPH with Dr. Swati Gawai.
