A subdural hematoma (SDH) is a form of intracranial haemorrhage characterized by bleeding into the space between the dural and arachnoid membranes surrounding the brain. The severity of hematomas determines how they are treated. It can range from watchful waiting to surgical interventions to reduce the pressure buildup on the brain tissue.
